About Lysa

Hi! My name is Lysa Shimkus, and I was a teacher for almost a decade before making the switch to parenthood and library work. I have two toddlers who keep me busy, and I love my career change. Leaving teaching has allowed me to focus on my family and write. However, I’m still passionate about education and remaining a life-long learner.
